Wi-Fi QR Code Generator
Make a QR code that lets guests join your Wi-Fi just by pointing their phone camera at it. No more spelling out a long password for every visitor.
Style and colours
Logo or icon in the centre
A centre image hides part of the code, so error correction is set to High automatically. Keep logos simple and test the result with your phone. Your logo is used in your browser only and is never uploaded. Social media logos are trademarks of their owners: use them to point to your own profiles and follow each brand's guidelines.
Sticker or frame
Size and error correction
Quiet zone is the blank border around the code, measured in squares. Keep it at 4 or more. Higher error correction survives more damage but makes a denser code.
Your QR code will appear here.
Everything you enter is processed in your browser and is not uploaded to our server.
At a glance
| Encodes | Network name, password and security type |
|---|---|
| Security types | WPA/WPA2/WPA3, WEP, or none (open network) |
| Hidden networks | Supported |
| Privacy | Your password stays in your browser; it is never uploaded |
What you can enter
- Network name (SSID): up to 32 characters, exactly as it appears on devices
- Password: 8 to 63 characters for WPA/WPA2/WPA3
- Security: choose the type your router uses. If you're unsure, WPA/WPA2/WPA3 is the most common today
- Hidden network: tick this if the network name isn't broadcast
How a Wi-Fi QR code works
The code holds your network name, password and security type in a standard format. Recent iPhones and Android phones recognise it and offer to join, so guests don't type a thing. Older phones may need a scanner app.
Use it safely
- Anyone who can scan the code can join your network, so don't stick it up where strangers can reach it.
- Think about a separate guest network, so visitors never share a network with your computers and smart devices.
- Change the password and the printed code stops working, so make and print a new one.
- Your password is only used in your browser to draw the code. We don't send it anywhere.

Wi-Fi QR Code questions
Which phones can scan a Wi-Fi QR code?
Recent iPhones and Android phones can do it straight from the camera app. Older ones may need a QR scanner app.
Is it safe to put my Wi-Fi password in a QR code?
The code is made in your browser and isn't uploaded, but anyone who can see the printed code can scan it and join your network. Only put it where you're fine with that.
What if my network has no password?
Pick “No password”. The code then just tells the phone to join an open network.
My network name or password has special characters. Is that a problem?
No. Characters like ; , : and quotes are handled correctly in the code.
